Custom Listing Domains

Give individual listings their own custom domain like www.123mainstreet.com. Memorable URL for yard signs, flyers, social campaigns.

Two ways

Buy a domain

Fastest path. Photeria handles registration and DNS.

1. Open the listing in the admin panel → Property Website section (or the URL & Domain panel in the Website Editor).
2. Click Add Custom Domain.
3. Buy tab is selected by default.
4. You see suggested domains based on the property address (e.g., 123MainStreet.com, 123MainSt.com) with prices.
5. Or search for a specific name in the search field.
6. Pick one and pay with a credit/debit card.
7. Domain registers + DNS configures automatically. Usually under a minute.
8. Status flips to Active and the website is live on the new domain.

Fully managed, with no DNS work required. Purchased domains stay associated with the listing and cannot be removed.

Connect your own domain

If you already own the domain:

1. Open the listing → Property Website section (or Website Editor → URL & Domain) → Add Custom Domain.
2. Switch to the Connect tab.
3. Enter the domain (e.g., www.123mainstreet.com).
4. Click Add Domain.
5. DNS records to add appear.

DNS setup (connect path)

Photeria shows the records you need to create at your registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.):

A + CNAME route traffic. TXT verifies ownership. Use the copy buttons next to each value to avoid typos.

Steps

1. Log in to your registrar.
2. Find DNS management.
3. Add each record.
4. Save.
5. Back in Photeria, click Verify DNS.

Propagation: usually 1-5 min. Up to 48 h worst case.

Domain status

• Pending DNS - records not yet verified. Add them and click Verify DNS.
• Provisioning - SSL certificate being issued. Usually takes seconds.
• Active (green) - fully live. Visitors reach the website at the custom domain.
• Error - something broke. Check the DNS records and try verifying again.

For purchased domains, DNS is configured automatically.

DNS check results

Verify DNS runs a check per required record:

• Green check = record matches.
• Red X = missing or wrong value. Expected + found values are shown so you can fix it.

Removing a custom domain

1. Listing → Property Website section → Custom Domain area.
2. Click Remove next to the domain.
3. Confirm.

Listing reverts to the default platform URL. Remove only appears for connected domains. Purchased domains stay associated with the listing permanently.

Tips

• Short, easy-to-type domains work best on print materials.
• Subdomain (like listing.yourco.com)? Only need a CNAME to listings.photeria.io.
• Apex domain (like yourco.com)? Need the A record.
• SSL is automatic. No manual HTTPS setup.
