Once a job is created, you can view and edit all of its details from the job detail page.
This article covers how to update property information, access instructions, client assignments, and team scheduling.
Opening a Job
From the Jobs page, click on any row in the table to open that job's detail page. The page is organized into a two-column layout:
- Left column: Appointments and Property cards
- Right column: Client and Invoice cards
Editing Property Information
The Property card shows the address, square footage, and access details for the shoot location.
Updating the Address
- Click the Edit button in the top-right corner of the Property card
- The Property & Access dialog opens with the current values pre-filled
- Update the address using the autocomplete search field, or manually adjust the street, city, state, and zip
- Update the unit number or square footage if needed
- Click Save to apply your changes
The address is stored on the linked listing, so any changes here also update the listing.
Copying and Getting Directions
Below the address you will find two quick-action buttons:
- Copy button - Copies the full address to your clipboard
- Directions button - Opens Google Maps with the property address for turn-by-turn navigation
Managing Access Details
In the same Property & Access dialog, you can update:
- Entry method - Switch between Agent, Lockbox, or Owner
- Lockbox code - Shown only when the entry method is set to Lockbox. The code is displayed in a large, easy-to-read format on the job detail page.
- Entry notes - Free-text field for gate codes, parking instructions, or any other details the photographer needs. Long notes are truncated on the detail page with a "Read more" link.
Managing Client Information
The Client card shows the assigned agent's name, phone number, and avatar.
Changing the Assigned Client
- Click the Edit button on the Client card
- Use the agent search field to find a different client
- Select the new client to update the assignment
Contacting the Client
The Client card provides quick-action buttons to reach the agent:
- Call - Opens your phone dialer with the client's number
- Text - Opens a new SMS message to the client
- Email - Opens your email client with the client's address
Client Notes
If the client's profile has notes attached (set up in the Clients section), they appear in a highlighted box below the contact buttons. These notes are visible to your team on every job for that client, so they are great for preferences like "always prefers morning shoots" or "requires 24-hour notice."
Managing Appointments
The Appointments card lists all scheduled visits for the job. Each appointment shows:
- Date and time of the visit
- Duration calculated from the assigned services
- Assigned photographer with their avatar
- Services for that trip, shown as badges
- Status dropdown to track progress (Scheduled, Arrived, Shot)
Adding an Appointment
- Click the Add button in the Appointments card header
- Select a date and time
- Assign a photographer from the dropdown
- Optionally select which services should be included in this appointment
- Save the appointment
After adding an appointment, Photeria may prompt you to send a confirmation email to the client.
Editing an Appointment
- Click the pencil icon on the appointment you want to edit
- Update the date, time, photographer, status, or service assignments
- Save your changes
If you change the date or time of an appointment that has not been shot yet, Photeria will offer to send a reschedule notification email to the client.
Deleting an Appointment
- Click the trash icon on the appointment you want to remove
- Confirm the deletion
Any services that were assigned to the deleted appointment will be moved to "Unassigned" status. You can then reassign them to another appointment.
Moving Services Between Appointments
If a service needs to happen on a different day, you can reassign it:
- From the Unassigned section: Use the dropdown next to each unassigned service to move it into any existing appointment
- From the appointment edit dialog: Check or uncheck services to change which ones belong to that visit
Updating Appointment Status
Each appointment has a Status dropdown directly on the card. Change it as the shoot progresses:
- Scheduled - Default state when the appointment is booked
- Arrived - Set this when the photographer arrives on-site
- Shot - Set this when the photographer has finished shooting
The overall job status updates automatically based on your appointment statuses.
