Credits and Usage
Photeria uses a credit system to give new organizations free listings when they first sign up. This guide explains how credits work, how they are applied, and how to track your usage.

What Are Credits?
Credits let you photograph listings without being charged. Each credit covers one listing. When a listing is shot and your organization has credits available, one credit is automatically consumed and the charge for that listing is $0.
How You Get Credits
Signup Credits
Every new organization receives free credits when they create their Photeria account. These credits are granted automatically and are ready to use right away. The default is 5 free credits, though this may vary depending on your plan or any promotions.
Additional Credits
Your organization may receive additional credits through:
Manual grants: The Photeria team can add credits to your account
Admin adjustments: Credits can be adjusted to correct any billing issues
How Credits Are Used
Credits are applied automatically whenever a listing is photographed. Here is the process:
A photographer completes a shoot and the appointment is marked as "shot"
Photeria checks your organization's credit balance
If you have one or more credits available, a credit is consumed and the listing charge is $0 (shown as "credited")
If you have no credits, the listing is charged at your per-listing rate (shown as "pending")
You do not need to choose when to use credits. They are always applied first, before any charges.
Checking Your Credit Balance
Your remaining credits are shown in two places on the Billing page (Admin > Billing):
Page header: A green badge reading "X Credits Available" appears in the top-right corner of the Billing page when you have credits remaining
Current Usage card: Below the billing period dates, you will see a line that says how many credits are remaining
If you have no credits left, these indicators will not appear.
Understanding the Current Usage Card
The Current Usage card on the Billing page gives you a real-time summary of your charges for the current billing period:
Total amount due: The large dollar amount at the top shows your running total for billable listings this period
Due date: Next to the total, you will see when this amount is due (the end of the billing period)
Property Listings breakdown: Shows the number of billable listings multiplied by your per-listing price
Free listings: If any listings were covered by credits, you will see a green note like "+ 3 free" next to the listing count
Example
If you shot 10 listings this month, have a per-listing price of $8.00, and 3 were covered by credits:
7 listings x $8.00 = $56.00 (billable)
3 listings covered by credits (free)
Total due: $56.00
Credit Restoration on Cancellations
If a job is cancelled and a credit was originally used for that listing, the credit is automatically restored to your balance. This means you do not lose a credit if a shoot gets called off. The system handles this for you without any action needed on your part.
Charge Statuses
Each listing charge has a status that tells you where it is in the billing lifecycle:
