This guide explains how agents create professional marketing materials (flyers, social media posts, brochures, and more) for their listings using pre-built templates and a built-in design editor.
Accessing Marketing Materials
- Log in to the client portal.
- Click the Listings tab in the header.
- Find the listing you want to create marketing materials for and click the marketing icon on the listing card, or click into the listing and navigate to the Marketing section.
You will land on the Marketing page for that listing, located at /listings/{id}/marketing.
If marketing is disabled for a listing, you will see a message indicating that marketing materials are currently unavailable.
Browsing Templates
Templates are organized by format (e.g., Instagram Post, Flyer, Facebook Cover, etc.). Each format section shows:
- The format name and an optional description
- A grid of template thumbnails that you can preview before selecting
- A Create Blank option at the end of each row, for starting from scratch with that format's dimensions
Templates are created and published by your photography company's team. Only published templates are visible to agents.
Creating a Design from a Template
- Browse the available templates grouped by format.
- Click on a template thumbnail, or click the Use Template button below it.
- The system creates a new design based on that template, automatically filling in your listing's property data (address, price, photos, agent info, and brokerage details).
- You are taken directly to the design editor to customize the design.
While the design is being created, you will see a loading spinner on the template card. This usually takes just a second.
Creating a Blank Design
- Scroll to the end of a format section.
- Click the blank card with the plus icon, or click the Create Blank button.
- A new blank design is created with the dimensions of that format.
- You are taken to the design editor.
Managing Your Designs
After you have created designs, they appear in a Your Designs section at the top of the Marketing page, above the templates.
Each design card shows:
- A thumbnail preview of the design
- The design name
- The date it was last edited
Available Actions
- Click the thumbnail to open the design in the editor
- Download icon - Opens the design in the editor where you can export it
- Trash icon - Deletes the design (a confirmation dialog will appear)
Using the Design Editor
The design editor is a full-featured canvas editor that opens when you create or edit a design. It includes:
Sidebar Tools
On desktop, the left sidebar contains tool tabs for:
- Text - Add and edit text elements
- Images - Add listing photos or upload your own
- Shapes - Add rectangles, circles, lines, and other shapes
- Icons - Browse and add icons from a built-in library
- QR Codes - Generate QR codes (e.g., linking to the property website)
- Background - Set the canvas background color or image
On mobile, these tools appear as a bottom tab bar.
Canvas
The main canvas area shows your design. You can:
- Click to select elements
- Drag to move elements around
- Resize elements using corner handles
- Use the toolbar at the top for alignment, layering, and duplication
Toolbar
When you select an element on the canvas, a context-sensitive toolbar appears with options specific to that element type. For example:
- Text elements - Font family, size, color, alignment, bold, italic, underline
- Images - Crop, filters, opacity
- Shapes - Fill color, stroke, corner radius
Zoom Controls
At the bottom of the editor (on desktop), zoom controls let you zoom in and out of the canvas for precise editing.
Auto-save
Your changes are saved automatically as you work. You will see a cloud icon in the header that indicates the save status. There is no need to manually save.
Downloading Your Design
- Open the design in the editor.
- Look for the download or export option in the editor header.
- Choose your preferred format and quality settings.
- The design will be rendered and downloaded to your computer.
Data Binding
Templates can include dynamic data fields that automatically populate with information from your listing. Common bound fields include:
- Property address
- Listing price
- Agent name and contact info
- Brokerage name and logo
- Property photos
When you create a design from a template, these fields are resolved automatically so your design is ready to go with minimal editing.
