Managing Tasks

Task Management is in Beta. For the full guide on templates, lifecycle, and the dashboard widget, see Task Management.
How tasks reach your team
- Create task templates under Ordering β Tasks.
- Link each template to the services it applies to.
- When a job is booked with those services, the tasks are created and assigned automatically. No manual step.
Assignment modes
Each template decides who gets the task:
- Specific Person - always one named staff member.
- Whoever Shot It - the photographer on the appointment. If that photographer is reassigned, the task follows.
- Skill-Based Routing - picks from qualified staff by Round Robin, Least Assigned, or Lowest Current Load.
Staying in sync
Tasks adjust themselves as the job changes:
- Reschedule an appointment and due dates recalculate.
- Reassign a photographer and "Whoever Shot It" tasks move with them.
- Remove a service and its pending tasks are cleaned up (completed ones are kept).
Each assignee sees their tasks on their dashboard and on the job itself, and completes them with a single click.
Permissions
Admin includes all three. Grant them to other roles under Team β Roles.
