Scheduling settings control how appointments and photographer assignments work for your organization.

These options determine whether clients can request a specific photographer or whether the system assigns one automatically.

To manage scheduling settings, go to Settings from the sidebar and click the Scheduling tab.

Photographer Selection

The Photographer Selection card has a single toggle that controls a key part of the booking experience.

Allow Photographer Selection

This toggle determines whether clients can choose a specific photographer when placing an order.

• When enabled - Clients can browse available photographers and select the one they prefer during the booking process. This is great if your photographers have different styles or specialties and you want to give clients the choice.
• When disabled - Any available photographer will be assigned automatically based on availability and service area. Clients will not see a photographer selection step during ordering.

How to change this setting

1. Find the Allow Photographer Selection toggle in the Photographer Selection card.
2. Click the toggle switch to turn the setting on or off.
3. Below the label, a short description updates in real time to reflect the current behavior.
4. Click Save Changes to apply.

Additional Scheduling Context

Your organization's timezone (configured in the Company tab under Regional Settings) also plays an important role in scheduling. All appointment times, availability windows, and calendar displays use the timezone you set there. If your business moves or if you want appointments displayed in a different timezone, update it in the Company tab.

Tips for Scheduling

• If your team is small and you want to keep things simple, leave photographer selection disabled. The system will handle assignments for you.
• If you have photographers with different specialties (like drone, twilight, or commercial work), enabling photographer selection lets clients pick the right person for the job.
• Make sure your timezone is set correctly before you start booking appointments. Changing it later can cause confusion with existing scheduled shoots.
