The client portal
The client portal is where your real estate clients (agents and brokerages) log in to book shoots, view their listings, download media, pay invoices, and manage their account. It is fully white-labeled with your organization's branding, colors, and logo.
How Clients Access the Portal
Clients visit your portal URL in their web browser. If you have a custom domain set up (e.g., portal.yourcompany.com), they will use that address. Otherwise, they use the default platform domain.
When a client arrives, they will see a Login button in the top-right corner of the header. Clicking it takes them to the sign-in page at /portal, where they can log in with their email and password. If they are not yet signed up, they can create an account from the same page.
Unauthenticated visitors can still access the Book Shoot page to start an order without logging in first. They will be prompted to sign in or create an account during the checkout process.
Navigation
Once logged in, the portal header shows three main tabs:
- Book Shoot - Start a new photography order
- Listings - View all listings associated with the client's account
- Invoices - View and pay invoices for completed orders
On desktop, these tabs appear centered in the header. On mobile, clients tap the hamburger menu icon to reveal the navigation.
Account Menu
Clients can click their avatar in the top-right corner to open a dropdown menu with two options:
- Account Settings - Update profile photo, name, email, and phone number
- Sign Out - Log out of the portal
On mobile, these options appear at the bottom of the hamburger menu.
Account Settings
The Account Settings page (/settings) lets clients manage their profile information:
- Profile Photo - Upload or remove a profile picture
- First Name and Last Name - Edit their display name
- Email - Update their email address
- Phone - Update their phone number
- Company - Displayed as a read-only field if the client belongs to a brokerage
After making changes, clients click Save Changes to update their profile.
Branding and Theming
The portal automatically adapts to your organization's branding settings. Your logo appears in the header, and the portal uses your configured primary color and background color. If you have set a dark background color, the portal switches to dark mode automatically to ensure proper contrast and readability.
