Stripe Payments

Connect Stripe so clients can pay their invoices online by card, with payment and invoice statuses updating automatically and every transaction logged for your records.

Setup

First, create a Stripe account at stripe.com and finish identity and bank setup so you can accept live payments. Then grab your Publishable Key and Secret Key from Stripe Dashboard → Developers → API keys.

At Settings → Integrations, find the Stripe Payments card, paste your publishable key (pk_...) and secret key (sk_...), and click Connect. The rest is configured automatically.

Test mode

Use Stripe's test keys to try things out without charging real cards, then disconnect and reconnect with live keys when you're ready.

Disconnecting

On the Stripe card, click Disconnect and confirm. Your Stripe account and existing payment records are untouched; new online payments stop until you reconnect. To switch accounts, disconnect first, then connect with the new account's keys.

Troubleshooting

"Invalid key format"

You likely swapped the two keys. Clear and re-enter them.

Payments not recording

• Confirm your Stripe account is fully activated (ID verified, bank linked).
• Confirm the card shows a connected status.
• Try disconnecting and reconnecting.
