Photeria keeps you up to date with notifications for new orders, photographer assignments, paid invoices, and more. You'll see them in the notification bell at the top of the app, and you can choose where each type lands: in the app, by email, or both. This guide covers reading your notifications and setting your preferences.
The notification bell
The bell icon sits in the top bar of the app, available from every page. When you have unread notifications, a count badge appears on the bell (it shows 9+ once you pass nine).
Click the bell to open your notification inbox.
Reading your notifications
The inbox has two tabs:
- All - every notification, newest first.
- Unread - only the ones you haven't read yet.
Each notification shows an icon for its type, a title, a short description, and how long ago it arrived. Unread notifications are highlighted with a dot.
- Click the bell to open the inbox.
- Click a notification to open the related page (for example, the job or invoice it's about). Opening it marks it as read.
- If there are more, click Show more at the bottom of the list to load older ones.
Marking as read
- Clicking a notification marks it as read automatically.
- To mark one without opening it, use the Mark as read link on that notification. You can also Mark as unread to flag it again.
- To clear everything at once, click Mark all as read at the top of the inbox.
Choosing where you get notified
You decide which notifications you receive and how. Open the gear icon in the inbox, or go to your Profile β Notifications tab.
Each notification type has up to two switches:
- In-app - show it in the notification bell.
- Email - also send it to your email.
- Go to Profile and open the Notifications tab.
- For each type, turn In-app and Email on or off.
- Click Save Preferences.
Notification types
A few notes:
- Some types are Required in app and can't be switched off there, because these are important alerts (like a calendar reconnect, a failed Dropbox sync, or a domain problem) that you need to see.
- Some types don't offer an email option; those show a dash (--) in the Email column.
- Preferences are personal to you, so each team member sets their own.
