Scheduling settings shape the ordering experience: whether clients pick their photographer, whether same-day booking is allowed, how much buffer to leave between jobs, and how sun-dependent services are scheduled. Find them at Settings → Scheduling. All of these affect new orders only, not appointments already booked.

Photographer selection

When on, clients browse and pick a photographer during ordering. Good when your photographers have distinct styles or specialties. When off, the system auto-assigns based on availability and service area. Small teams usually leave it off for simplicity.

Same-day booking

When on, clients can book for today if slots are open. When off, booking starts tomorrow. Leave it off unless your photographers can genuinely show up same-day, it's easy to over-promise.

Appointment buffer

Extra padding added around every appointment when the system works out availability. It sits on top of the travel time Photeria already calculates between back-to-back stops, so photographers aren't booked wall-to-wall. Set 0 for none, or 10 to 15 minutes to allow for packing up and minor delays.

Sunset appointment mode

Controls how sun-dependent services (twilight, golden hour) get scheduled:

  • Separate appointments (default) - regular services run during the day and sun-dependent ones get their own appointment at sunset. Best when photographers do most of the shoot in normal hours and return for sunset shots.
  • Single appointment - everything is combined into one appointment around sunset. Best when photographers prefer to shoot the whole job then.

Pick based on how you actually shoot. Return visits feel more generous; single appointments are faster to deliver.

Timezone

Set under Settings → Company → Regional Settings, not here, but it governs all appointment times and availability windows. Set it correctly before you start booking, changing it later shifts how existing times display.

These settings shape the time slots offered while scheduling. To view booked appointments on a visual schedule, see The Appointments Calendar.
