Payroll is where you review what each team member has earned and mark their payouts as paid. As appointments are completed, Photeria automatically adds up what each photographer is owed based on their compensation plan, so you always have a running tally of who needs to be paid, without tracking it in a spreadsheet.

Getting to Payroll

Sidebar: Manage β†’ Payroll. If you don't see it, your role doesn't include payroll access.

How earnings appear

You don't enter most earnings by hand. When work is completed, Photeria creates payroll lines automatically from each team member's compensation plan. Each line shows up as Unpaid until you record a payout.

The three tabs

  • Unpaid - everything owed but not yet paid. This is your to-do list for payouts.
  • Paid - earnings you've already marked as paid.
  • Runs - a history of each payout you've recorded.

Reading the Unpaid and Paid tabs

Each line is a single earning, with columns for:

  • Earned - the date the earning was recorded
  • Team Member - who earned it, with their avatar
  • Job - the property address the work was for
  • Type - Service, Mileage, or Adjustment
  • Description - what the line is for
  • Qty - quantity
  • Rate - the pay rate for the line
  • Amount - the total for that line

A running count of lines and their combined total is shown above the table.

Filtering

Use the toolbar filters to narrow the list:

  • Team member - show one person's earnings
  • From / To - limit to a date range

Active filters appear as removable chips; use Clear to reset them all.

Marking earnings as paid

On the Unpaid tab:

  1. Tick the checkbox next to each earning you're paying out. The toolbar shows your running selection total.
  2. Click Mark Paid.
  3. In the Mark Payroll Paid dialog, review the selected lines and their total.
  4. Optionally add a Notes comment for the payout.
  5. Click Mark Paid.

The lines move to the Paid tab, and a new entry appears under Runs.

The Runs tab

Each row is one recorded payout, with columns for:

  • Created - when the payout was recorded
  • Paid - the payout date
  • Method - how it was paid out
  • Period - the date range it covered, or All unpaid
  • Total - the amount paid out

Adding a manual adjustment

For a bonus, downtime, or a correction that isn't tied to an appointment:

  1. Click Add Adjustment in the top-right.
  2. Pick a Team member.
  3. Enter a Description (for example, bonus, downtime, or correction).
  4. Enter an Amount and the Earned date.
  5. Click Save.

The adjustment is added as a new unpaid line, ready to be paid out like any other earning.
