Compensation plans define how your team members get paid. A plan bundles per-service payout rates, a mileage rate, and a same-appointment rate. You build a plan once, assign it to as many team members as you like, and those rates feed into Payroll so payouts can be calculated for you.

Getting to Compensation

Sidebar: Team → Compensation. You'll see a table of all your plans, each showing its name, how many service rates it has, its mileage rate, and its same-appointment rate.

What's in a plan

Each compensation plan has three parts:

  • Per-service rates - how much a team member earns for each service they perform (for example, a flat amount for a photo shoot). Services priced by square-footage tiers can be paid out per tier.
  • Mileage rate - how much the member earns for each mile driven to an appointment.
  • Same-appointment rate - what share of a payout the member earns for extra services performed on the same appointment. Set as a percentage (100% means full payout for those extras).

Creating a plan

  1. Click Add Plan in the top-right.
  2. Enter a Name.
  3. Set the Mileage rate, an amount per mile.
  4. Set the Same-appointment rate, a percentage.
  5. Under Services, enter a payout amount next to each service you want to pay for. Leave a service blank to pay nothing for it.
    • For services priced by square-footage tiers, enter a separate payout for each tier.
  6. Click Save.

Editing or deleting a plan

  • Edit - click the edit icon (pencil) on the plan's row, make your changes, and Save.
  • Delete - click the trash icon and confirm. The plan and its rates are permanently removed, and any team members assigned to it will no longer have a compensation plan.

Assigning a plan to a team member

Plans are assigned on the member, not on the plan.

  1. Go to Team → Members and open a member (or click Edit).
  2. In the dialog, find Compensation Plan and pick a plan from the dropdown (or No plan).
  3. Set the member's Preferred Pay Cadence (Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly, or None) and Payout Method (Manual or Export).
  4. Click Save Changes.

You can also assign a plan in the Invite Team Member dialog when adding someone new.

Where it shows up

On a team member's detail page, the Status card shows their assigned Compensation plan, Pay Cadence, and Payout Method at a glance.

Why it's useful

Once a member has a compensation plan, Photeria can calculate what they've earned from the services they performed and the miles they drove. Those amounts flow into the Payroll page, where you review and pay out.

Permissions

Adding, editing, and assigning compensation plans requires the Team: Manage permission. Without it, the Add Plan button and the edit/delete icons won't appear. See Roles and Permissions.
