Setting up custom domains

Use your business domain for your client portal and property websites.

Written By David Dayan

Use your business domain for your client portal and property websites. You need access to the domain's DNS settings to connect it to Photeria.

Change your Photeria subdomain

Open Settings → Client portal. Under Organization Subdomain, edit the part before .photeria.io and select Save. Photeria redirects you to the new address.

Connect a client portal domain

Use an address such as portal.yourcompany.com for client login and ordering.

  1. Open Settings → Client portal and find Client Portal Domain.

  2. Enter the hostname and select Add Domain.

  3. Add the DNS records Photeria provides at your domain registrar. Copy the exact record names and values.

  4. Return to Photeria and select Check DNS & Verify Domain.

After verification, Photeria prepares the secure connection before the address becomes active.

Connect a shared property-website domain

Open Settings → Property websites to set the address used by your organization's listing websites, such as listings.yourcompany.com. Add the domain, copy its DNS records to your registrar, and select Check DNS.

To give one property its own address instead, see Adding a custom domain to a property website.

Keep your domains connected

Use a subdomain when your main domain already hosts a business website. Keep the DNS records in place after verification. If you use Cloudflare, set the required CNAME to DNS only during setup.

Use Disconnect in the relevant domain section to return to the default Photeria address.

Email uses a separate setup under Settings → Email. See Setting up your email sender.
