Managing work on the Tasks page

Use Tasks to keep track of editing, delivery, and other work across your team.

Use Tasks to keep track of editing, delivery, and other work across your team. You can create a task for a job or leave it separate for work such as checking equipment or planning next week's schedule.

Find the work that needs attention

Open Tasks in the sidebar. The Main view starts with open tasks grouped by due date so you can focus on overdue work and today's deadlines.

Open tasks grouped by due date, with saved views and filters above the list

Select Show filters, then Add filter to narrow the work by Assignee, Job, or Due date. Choose Me to focus on your assignments, or Unassigned to find work that still needs an owner. You can also search by task name or property.

Keep a team's assignments or a job's work in a saved view. The view remembers filters, sorting, and your List or Board layout, and is shared with your organization.

Create a task

  1. Select New Task.

  2. Enter a Name that describes the work. Add a Description if the assignee needs instructions.

  3. Choose a Job, or leave No job selected for work that is separate from a shoot.

  4. Choose a team member under Assign to.

  5. Set the Due date and, if needed, a time.

  6. Select Create Task.

For recurring work that should appear when services are ordered, create a workflow.

Change an assignment or deadline

Open a task, update its details, and select Save Changes. You can also select the assignee or due date directly on the task.

Use Board to arrange tasks in columns by due date. Dragging a task to another date group changes its deadline. For an exact date and time, open the task's due date control.

You can change the job on a task you created manually. A task created by a workflow stays with its original job.

Complete or reopen work

Select a task's checkbox when the work is finished. To reopen it, choose the Completed view or filter Status to Completed, then clear the task's checkbox. Completed results cover work finished in the last 30 days.

You can also complete job tasks from the job's Tasks card or your dashboard's Your Tasks widget.
