You can connect an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT to Photeria and run your business by chatting with it. Once connected, you can ask the assistant to look up jobs, listings, and account details, or make edits, in plain English instead of clicking through menus. This article explains what the connection lets you do and how to set it up.

What you can do once connected

After you connect an assistant, you can ask it things like:

  • Look up jobs - find jobs and pull up the details of a specific one
  • Look up listings - browse your listings and open a listing's details
  • Check your account - get context about your account and organization
  • Edit listing details - update a listing's text and detail fields

The assistant only ever acts with your existing permissions, so it can't do anything you couldn't already do yourself in Photeria. More sensitive actions, like payments, deletions, or sending emails, stay protected and aren't handed over to the assistant.

Where to set it up

Go to My Profile and open the MCP tab. This is where you connect and manage your AI assistants.

The connection runs on MCP (Model Context Protocol), the standard that lets AI assistants work inside other apps. You don't need to know how it works to use it.

Setting up a connection

  1. On the MCP tab, click Set up MCP.
  2. Select your AI assistant - choose ChatGPT, Claude, or Other tool (any MCP-compatible client, such as Cursor, VS Code, or Goose).
  3. Copy your endpoint URL using the Copy button shown in the dialog.
  4. Add it in your assistant by following the on-screen steps for the assistant you picked. Each option also has a button that opens that app's connector settings in a new tab.
  5. When prompted, you'll be sent to sign in to Photeria and click Allow to authorize the connection.

Once authorized, the connection is complete and your assistant appears under Connected apps.

ChatGPT note

Custom connectors in ChatGPT require Developer mode, which is available on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Team, and Enterprise. Turn it on under Settings β†’ Connectors β†’ Advanced before adding Photeria.

Managing connected apps

The Connected apps list on the MCP tab shows each assistant you've connected, when it was connected, and when it was last used.

To remove an assistant, click the Disconnect (trash) icon on its row and confirm. The assistant immediately loses access to your Photeria account. You can reconnect it any time by setting it up again.

Is it secure?

Yes. The connection uses secure OAuth, so you authorize it directly with Photeria, and it only ever acts with your existing permissions. You stay in control and can disconnect any assistant whenever you want.
