Creating a new job takes just a few minutes. Photeria walks you through a five-step wizard that captures everything you need: services, questions, property details, client, and appointments.

How to open the New Job dialog

Two ways:

  1. Jobs page - click the New Job button in the top-right.
  2. Dashboard - click New Job in the Quick Actions widget.

You can move between steps with Back / Next or by clicking the step indicators. Photeria skips the Questions step if none of the selected services have questions attached.

Step 1: Order Details

Pick what the client is ordering.

  • Packages - click a package card to select it. Packages bundle multiple services at a discounted price.
  • Individual services - check the boxes next to any standalone services you want to add.
  • Square footage - if any service or package uses size-based pricing, enter the property size so the correct price is applied.
  • Quantity - for quantity-based services (e.g. per photo), set the quantity.
  • Discount - apply a one-off dollar amount discount.

Pick at least one service or package, then click Next.

Step 2: Questions

If any of the services or packages you selected have intake questions attached, they appear here. Answer each one (some are required). Examples:

  • "Is the property occupied?"
  • "Are there pets on site?"
  • "Preferred style: bright and airy or natural?"

Some questions can adjust pricing based on the answer.

If no questions apply, this step is skipped automatically.

Step 3: Property

Enter where the shoot will happen.

  • Address - start typing and pick from the autocomplete. City, state, and zip fill in automatically.
  • Unit number - for multi-unit buildings.
  • Square footage - if not already set in Step 1.
  • Entry method:
    • Agent - the listing agent will let the photographer in
    • Lockbox - a lockbox code (required field appears)
    • Owner - the homeowner will be there to let them in
  • Access notes - gate codes, alarm notes, parking instructions, pet info, or anything else the photographer should know.

Step 4: Client

Link the job to the ordering agent.

Existing agent

Search by name or email and click to select. Optionally add a secondary agent if two agents are co-listing.

New agent

Switch to the New tab and fill in first name, last name, email, phone, and optional brokerage (search for an existing one or type a new name). The agent record is created when you save the job.

Step 5: Appointments

Schedule the shoot.

  • Click Add Appointment to create a slot.
  • For each appointment set:
    • Date - shoot date
    • Time - start time
    • Photographer - a team member marked as accepting orders
    • Services - which services from the order are covered by this appointment (useful when the shoot spans multiple days or photographers)

Add multiple appointments if needed, for example a daytime shoot plus a twilight return visit. Sun-dependent services honor your Sunset Appointment Mode setting (Settings β†’ Scheduling).

Saving the job

Click Create Job. Your new job appears on the Jobs page, ready to go.

Sending a confirmation email

After creating the job, Photeria may prompt you to send a confirmation email to the client. The email includes appointment date, time, and property address so the client knows when to expect the photographer. You can skip and send later from the job detail page.
